09 Dec Heavenly Warmth! for Archangel Michael Convent Analyontas – Cyprus
The Convent of Archangel Michael in Analyontas – Cyprus traces its origins to the 12th century and is considered an archaeological treasure of extreme importance and therefore it is under the protection of the Department of Antiquities of Cyprus. It has remained unchanged since 1769 when it took its present form and the nuns decided that it was time for a major restoration to be carried out but without changing the convent’s historical identity. Their heating requirements were that nothing should be visible, noisy or needing maintenance, be economic to run provide fast heating and not raise the convent’s floor level. After a lot of Prayer and thorough research Abbess Athanasia came to the conclusion that the AHT Amorphous Metal Ribbon Technology indoor heating mats met all their requirements and was by far their best choice.
The installation of the AHT heating system was completed in a single day by the AHT Cyprus Team led by Mr Pambos Tornas and supported by Ms Irene Bilicou who commented “This is a very special installation as not only the AHT technology has provided such a high technology solution to such a revered antiquity but also because it shows exactly how effective, easy to install and cost efficient our AHT system can be”.
